TaskRatchet for Calendar

Your money-on-the-line deadlines, right in your calendar

Every TaskRatchet task has a deadline, and a price for missing it. Subscribe to your private calendar feed and those deadlines show up alongside the rest of your day in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any app that speaks iCal.

TaskRatchet → your calendar

How the Calendar integration works

1

Copy your private feed URL

Open your TaskRatchet settings and copy your personal calendar (.ics) subscription URL.

2

Subscribe in your calendar app

Add the URL as a subscribed calendar in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any app that supports iCal feeds.

3

See deadlines update automatically

Your staked deadlines appear as calendar events and stay in sync as you add and complete tasks, without any manual exporting.

Why connect Calendar?

One view of your commitments

Stop checking two apps. Your TaskRatchet deadlines sit next to your meetings and plans so nothing with money on it slips by unseen.

Works with the calendar you already use

It's a standard iCal feed. Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, Fantastical, and others all subscribe to it the same way.

Private and read-only

The feed is read-only and tied to a private token you can reset at any time, so your deadlines stay yours.

New to TaskRatchet?

TaskRatchet is a todo list with teeth. You set a deadline and stake real money on each task. Finish on time, or you pay the amount you chose. It's built for procrastinators who need a stronger incentive than yet another notification.

Frequently asked questions

Which calendar apps are supported?

Any app that supports iCal/ICS feed subscriptions, including Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook.

Can the calendar change my tasks?

No. The feed is one way and read-only: TaskRatchet publishes your deadlines to the calendar. Editing an event in your calendar app doesn't change anything in TaskRatchet.

What if my feed URL leaks?

The URL contains a private token. If you ever need to, reset the token from your settings and the old URL stops working immediately.

Is TaskRatchet free?

Signing up is free. You only pay if you stake money on a task and miss its deadline.
